What inspired you to become an entrepreneur and start your own business?
Hailing from a small town in Bihar, I hold a deep passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals from Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities and towns. My journey in the startup world has been marked by a strong focus on serving this segment.
What was your biggest challenge as a startup founder, and how did you overcome it?
Managing everyone's expectations (customers, employees, partners, investors) in an uncertain future has been challenging. However, I've learned that while I can't control the future, I can shape the present, and these expectations now motivate me.
Building a passionate team is another challenge. I address it by onboarding candidates ad-hoc and confirming those who align with our skills and culture.
Can you share any exciting news or upcoming projects you are currently working on?
In my current startup, we're creating a thoughtful regional entertainment platform. It all began with people's perceptions of Bhojpuri culture driving our vision. We recognised the demand for a curated regional entertainment platform that authentically represents the culture of a region and empowers creators from Tier 2 and 3 cities.
If your startup was a fictional character, what would it be and why?
It would be Musaddi Lal from Office Office, who understands the pain points of a common man and finds clever ways to navigate these pain points and issues effortlessly.
How has Razorpay Rize helped you in your journey of being a founder?
I am still exploring, but the community looks vibrant and exciting. Besides, the learning regarding the YC application process was valuable. I also received AWS credits through Rize, which was helpful.
